In this modern design for Hughie, there is a grid lock motif to express the characters internalized thought. Both Eerie and  Hughie live in an existential stasis, where time goes beyond boundaries.  To portray endless time,  shadows of passing people will be projected on the floor. Through designing a systematic grid for the floor treatment, an institutional and societal standard themes come to fruition.  Keeping the play in modern abstract aesthetics will contribute to the original playwright, who dove into the experimental and unknown.
