In this design of Mojada, I set the script in Houston, TX, in a trailer park., where there are many immigrants located there. The story tells the tale of Latinx people crossing the border into the United States. To portray this transparently, I decided to design a mobile home that is see through. In this ground plan, Medea is given an isolated destination with little wiggle room, as that is how she feels about her immigration. There is also vastness of emptiness that Texas has that is portrayed through a large curved cyc that appears as a never ending sky. Overall, social class, immigration, and isolation are key components of the story and this design.
